Summary

Description

Space-filling model of a dichloroacetylene molecule, C2Cl2, based on structural parameters determined by infrared spectroscopy in Struct. Chem. (1992) 3, 245-252. The C≡C triple bond length is 1.192 Å, the C–Cl single bond length is 1.641 Å and the molecule is linear.

Colour code:

Carbon, C: grey
Chlorine, Cl: green
Model manipulated in Avogadro 1.2 and image generated in CCDC Mercury 3.8.
