English: Kurt Johannsen's Diamond T 980 tank transporter converted into a civilian heavy haulage vehicle, on display at the National Road Transport Hall of Fame, Alice Springs, NT, Australia. Named "Bertha", it was, when combined with a trailer into a 50 metre long combination, the first significant road train in central Australia. In 1948, the road train was used to transport the first 74 head of cattle to be trucked from the Barkly Tableland to Alice Springs.
