Description
English: Plate XII of 1897 publication called Maryland Geological Survey Volume One, with caption "View of "Devil's Backbone" in Lewistown Formation, north of Cumberland, on the Baltimore & Ohio R. R." This is near Corriganville, and Wills Creek is in the foreground. The Lewistown Formation is no longer recognized. The formation is the Keyser Limestone.
