An aerial view looking north at the Defense Accounting and Finance Service building of the Defense Construction Supply Center. North Yearling Road is seen near the lower right corner. The Defense Construction Supply Center opened in 1918 and was known for many years as the Columbus General Reserve Depot. In the early 1960s, it became known as the Defense Construction Supply Center (DCSC). After the 1993 Base Realignment and Closure Commission consolidated a Dayton facility with the Columbus base, the 575-acre military storage center began 1996 under the name Defense Supply Center of Columbus (DSCC). |
