It was provided to the Walker by the subject's producing organization, the Pick Up Performance Company, for promotional use. The photograph was taken by Andrew Eccles as work-for-hire contracted by the Pick Up Performance Company. This photograph, and others taken in the same session, have been used for promotional or illustrative purposes by numerous other websites, including 'The New York Times (see here, for example). Although the photograph's copyright is presumably held by either the photographer or the Pick Up Company, it was regularly provided by the company to other organizations to use in promoting the subject's activities. Its use on Wikipedia does not forestall any potential commercial use of the photograph. |
