Gustavus. Adolph / König van schwed / Anno 1632. / Sandart Pinxit / Nürnberg.
Notes Possibly in the 18th century mistakenly identified as a portrait of Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden, hence inscription. Bucket heeled boots with butterflies and spurs; butterflies were meant to reduce marring of the boots by the stirrups.
