Description
English: The 1876 Madison County Courthouse is the crown jewel of the Winterset Courthouse Historic District in Winterset, Iowa. It was designed by architect A.H. Piquenard, co-architect of the Illinois and Iowa State Capitols, and built out of native limestone in the Renaissance Revival style of architecture.
