Summary

[edit]

This abstract minimalist piece is my own work and as a professional artist and author of the work I release it into the public domain. The title of the work is 'Minuet in Blues #4' (French menuet, from Old French, small, dainty (from the small steps characteristic of the dance). It is a mixed media piece - digitally finished from a scanned watercolour and was completed in May 2007. It is intended for display amongst the images on the Abstract Art Gallery entry, in order to show an example of contemporary abstract minimalist art and the link between musical and visual abstraction which obsessed artists like Paul Klee.
