Object history
English: The arms were granted on February 21, 1973. The triple mountain in the base is a canting element ("-hövel" means hill). The adit mouth and the tools symbolise the importance of mining in the area since the 16th century. The hazel branch is derived from the arms of the Amt Haßlinghausen.
