Object history
Deutsch: Das Gemeindewappen basiert auf dem Wappen des Ortsadelsgeschlecht der Ministerialen von Scheuring, die einen im Wolkenschnitt schräg geteilten Schild führten. Ein Fridericus de Schiringen wird schon 1130 genannt. Für 1406 sind ein Konrad von Scheuring und seine Ehefrau Afra Pflugdorferin belegt. Die auch in Castell und Eresing begüterte Familie ist wohl mit Jörg Scheyringer um 1507 ausgestorben. Das Familienwappen ist auf Siegeln überliefert. Die zwei hinzugefügten Kreuze verweisen auf die Kirchen St. Martin und St. Johann in Scheuring, die von 1397 bis zur Säkularisation 1803 dem Kloster Schäftlarn unterstanden.
