Object history
Deutsch: Die Wappenfarben gold und schwarz sowie der rotgekrönte und bewehrte goldene Löwe, der sog. Pfälzer Löwe, haben ihren Ursprung in den Farben und Wappen der Kurpfalz. Diese übte bis zum Ende der frühen Neuzeit die Ortsherrschaft in Neunkirchen am Potzberg aus. Die rote Kirche bezieht sich auf den Ortsnamen. Dieser leitete sich wohl im Laufe der Zeit von der Ortsbezeichnung "neue Kirche" zu Neunkirchen ab.
