Object history
Deutsch: Der Wolf ist ein redendes Element. Der alte Name des Dorfes war Langenwolffersdorf. Die Teilungslinie deutet darauf hin, dass das Dorf ein typisches Straßendorf ist. Der Lindenbaum symbolisiert die örtliche Linde, die mehrere hundert Jahre alt ist. Der Baum wurde ursprünglich 1650 gepflanzt. Die Tinkturen des Wolfs sind die der Fürsten von Reuß, die das Gebiet jahrhundertelang beherrschten. Die grüne Farbe symbolisiert den landwirtschaftlichen Charakter des Dorfes.
English: The wolf is a canting element. The old name of the village was Langenwolffersdorf (which can be translated as long-wolf-village). The line of partition is indicating that the village is a typical one-street village. The linden tree is symbolising local linden tree, hundreds of years old. The tree was originally planted in 1650. The tinctures of the wolf are those of the Princes of Reuß, who ruled the area for centuries. The green colour is symbolising the agricultural character of the village.
