DescriptionCrystal Palace High Level station site geograph-3344846-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg
English: Crystal Palace High Level station (site/remains), 1983.
View northward from Crystal Palace Parade, towards Nunhead and London on the ex-South Eastern & Chatham Nunhead - Crystal Palace branch, which closed 20/9/54. The station had been large and elaborate, rivalling the Palace across the road, to which it was connected by a subway. The mast on the right is the BBC Television transmitter, which is visible all over South London. The station site is being re-developed.
