Summary

Description
English: Two preserved specimens from perciform fish genus Crenicichla. The species seen here are C. urosema (top), measuring 53.5 mm SL, and C. virgatula (bottom), the holotype, measuring 66.2 mm SL. This photograph was taken to demonstrate the difference in the markings on the caudal peduncle (tail-fin joint) between the two species.
