Summary

Description
English: Procession through the streets of Kilbride, Co. Meath to mark the consecration of a new church in the town, by Dr. Mulvany, Bishop of Meath. The church itself was constructed using white granite that had been quarried at Sandford, Co. Dublin.


The Irish Independent, 14 September 1931, reported:
"For the past 150 years - through the dark period of the Penal days, up to last Christmas - the people of the district have assisted at Mass in a tiny church erected in the closing years of the 18th century."
