English: Cocking History Column. The Column was designed by eminent sculptor and villager Philip Jackson to celebrate The Millennium and a thousand years of Cocking History.
The plinth houses two Millennium Maps and on the column there is a spiral of bronze plaques depicting village history. The plaques were engraved by Cocking villagers under Philip Jackson's direction.
The plinth was finally unveiled on 15 April 2005 by Lady Cowdray.
