English: Cover of the Romanian Symbolist and avant-garde magazine Chemarea ("The Calling"), printed in Iaşi by by N. D. Cocea and Ion Vinea. The design elements are uncredited; the central image is a reproduction of a drawing by Vallotton. The latter is identified by the list of contributors to the lower right of the image. Full details on Vallotton reprints on the Chemarea covers and their importance for the magazine in: Paul Cernat, Avangarda românească și complexul periferiei: primul val, Cartea Românească, Bucharest, 2007, pp. 99–100.
