Description
Français : Carte de Cheikh Saïd et de Périm, adaptée d'une carte britannique de la fin du XIXe siècle. Tirée du tome III, 2e partie, de Histoire du règne du Khédive Ismaël, de Georges Douin (Le Caire, Égypte, 1938).
En 1870, Rabaud-Bazin de Marseille construisirent un établissement commercial sur la rive de la mer Rouge entre Ras Cheikh Saïd et la lagune de Cheikh Saïd (Khor Ghorera). Les Turcs construisirent un fort à Tourba en 1885.
