Summary

Description
English: Chaucer Buildings, 53-61 Grainger Street, NE1. Built c 1869; probably by Gibson Kyle. A mid-Gothic building with paired and tripled windows that give it an Italian feel. The frontage is irregular, with a central doorway flanked by granite pilasters and a fancy cast-iron canopy, and an enormous three storey gable with massive windows (but on the left side only). The building is Grade II listed
