DescriptionCemmaes Road signal box - geograph.org.uk - 1068750.jpg
English: Cemmaes Road signal box Following the building of the road visible in the foreground, and the consequent closure of the level crossing, this had just become redundant. I believe it was later dismantled and transferred to a preserved railway. It was a standard GWR design which would have been prefabricated at the company's Reading works before being transferred and erected on this site, replacing the original box built by the Newtown & Machynlleth Railway. This particular model had an internal staircase.
