DescriptionCastles of Munster, Halla Mór or Great Hall, Newcastle West, Limerick - geograph.org.uk - 1392685.jpg
English: Castles of Munster: Halla Mór or Great Hall, Newcastle West, Limerick Within the same site as the Desmond Hall is this building recently restored, that acted as the ceremonial hall of the medieval complex; like the other hall it was substantially altered in the 15c, when it may have been converted from its former use as a chapel. It was rescued after being used as the town cinema during the 1960s following a disastrous fire.
