Marga von Etzdorf tödlich verunglückt. Die ausgezeichnete junge Sportfliegerin Marga von Etzdorf, die am Sonnabend, dem 27. Mai zu einem Fernflug nach Australien gestartet war, ist bei der Landung auf dem französischen Militärflugplatz von Mouslinich in der Nähe von Aleppo tödlich verunglückt. Marga von E., die erst 26 Jahre alt war, meldete sich mit 20 Jahren zur Fliegerei und bestand bald darauf die Prüfung als Flugzeugführerin. 1930 machte sie einen grossen Rundflug über den Balkan und im Dezember 1930 ihren ersten Fernflug ohne Begleiter nach den Kanarischen Inseln, Spanien und Nordafrika. Im August 1931 führte Marga v. E. einen Fernflug von Berlin nach Tokio in 11 Tagen durch - eine vorbildliche Leistung. Marga von E. besass das Goldene Sportflieger-Abzeichen des Deutschen Luftsportverbandes und den Ehrenbecher des Aero-Clubs Deutschland.
