Description
English: Building in Berlin-Hansaviertel, in the style of historicism. 10555 Berlin, Cuxhavener Straße 14. One of the ca. 40 buildings of the locality (out of 343) which were not destroyed by bombings during the Second World War. 1942 this was probabely a "jews house", where jews, who were expelled from their apartments, were forced to live.[1] Today beyond others the residence of the embassy of the Republic of Honduras. In front of the building is placed the wind-kinetic sculpture ""Bar and disc", designed by Rolf Lieberknecht, erected in 1989, 10 m high, stainless steel.
Deutsch: Gebäude im Berliner Hansaviertel im Stil des Historismus. 10555 Berlin, Cuxhavener Straße 14. Eines der ca. 40 Geäbude des alten Hansaviertels (von 343 Gebäuden), die die Bombardierung des Viertels im Zweiten Weltkrieg überstanden haben. 1942 wahrscheinlich ein "Judenhaus", in das Juden, die aus ihren Wohnungen vertrieben worden waren, zwangseingewiesen wurden.[2] Heute u.a. Sitz der Botschaft der Republik Honduras. Vor dem Haus die windkinetische Figur "Stab und Scheibe 2" von Rolf Lieberknecht, 1989 errichtet, 10 m hoch, Edelstahl
