Other information | 1) This image will be shown as a primary means of visual identification at the top of the article dedicated to the work in question, sort of. The actual article title is "The Buggs" rather than "The Beetle Beat", but the two entities are essentially coterminous -- The Buggs only existed (to the extent they did exist) as the name of the band on the cover of the album "The Beetle Beat". Also, it will not necessarily be shown at the top of the article, see below.
2) On the other hand, the image in question is also the subject of discussion in the article, and this is actually the main reason I want it. FWIW, copyright is a little sketchy here since since the image itself is and was designed to be part of a fraudulent enterprise (it shows models, not the members of the The Buggs (actually the Coachmen V), royalties were never paid to the band nor were they informed of any of this, and the clear intent (which had some success) was to defraud consumers into thinking this was a Beatles album. IMO this may void copyright, or ought to, and certainly would cast a long shadow on exploitation of the image for commercial opportunity by the original defrauder or his estate. |
