English: The patent (GB342705) was applied for on 4 November 1929 by Frederick Thomas Cash of Normancroft, Elm Road, Sidcup, Kent, UK. It had the title ' Improvements in or relating to electric table lamps or the like'. Stamped on one side of the circular brake ring is ' BRTISH PAT No 342705'. On the other side is 'MADE IN ENGLAND'
