Summary

Description

c/n unknown. Full US military serial 42-65281. Delivered on 22nd December 1944, this is second oldest surviving B-29. Postwar it was converted into a WB-29 and later into a TB-29. On retirement in 1956 it went to NAS China Lake for use as a range target for the Naval Weapons Centre. Recovered in 1985, it was restored to original B-29 condition and named “Miss America ‘62”. On display in the Travis AFB Heritage Center, CA.
