English: Site of Welsh Highland Railway station to be built at Betws Garmon, 1999.
View southward from the A4085 (Caernarfon - Beddgelert) road. The original Welsh Highland narrow-gauge line through here was closed back in June 1937. Now in 1999 preliminary restoration work is evident, but some years before the heritage Welsh Highland line would be opened in 2009 through to Beddgelert. The reopened station is now known as Plas-y-Nant. This is the Afon Gwyrfal valley and to the right are the mountains rising above Llyn Cwellyn.
