Description
Deutsch: "Geheimes Civil-Cabinett des Kaisers" in der Wilhelmstraße 54 in Berlin, erbaut 1900-1901 von Architekt Carl Vohl. Dies ist eines der wenigen Gebäude des ehemaligen Regierungsviertels der Reichshauptstadt, die den Zweiten Weltkrieg überstanden haben. Außer dem Civil-Kabinett residierte hier auch das Preußische Staatsministerium und die Generallotteriedirektion sowie ab 1936 die Reichsleitung der NSDAP. Seit 2000 wird das Gebäude vom Bundesministerium für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft und Verbraucherschutz genutzt.
English: The "Privy Civil Cabinet of the Emperor" at Wilhelmstraße 54 in Berlin, built 1900-1901 by architect Carl Vohl. It is one of the few buildings of the Reich's government district around Wilhelmstraße that survived WWII. The building was also used by the Prussian Ministry of State and the Generallotteriedirektion. In 1936, it became the seat of the Reich Leadership of the Nazi party. Since 2000, the building is used by the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.
