English: Benson's Cave Thomas Benson, MP for Barnstaple and Sheriff of Devon, was the owner of Lundy in the 18th century. He was a bit of a rogue, it seems, and involved in smuggling and other scams. The cave, just below Marisco Castle, is reputedly one of his contraband stores. The Castle is visible on the horizon.
