English: Babiana geniculata, photographed by Nick Helme, on 14 August 2015, at Lorraine; Travellers Rest: track south of dam, Greater Cederberg Wilderness Area, Clanwilliam area, Western Cape province of South Africa
According to the photographer a localised Agter Pakhuis endemic on shallow sands; locally common in arid fynbos; characteristic "knee bend" at top of tube; leaves usually held at an angle slightly above ground; usually grows with similarly purple Laperiousia jacquiniana and Pelargonium magenteum and they all presumably share a pollination syndrome with Prosoeca long-tongued flies; no threats here
