DescriptionAustralia-Bali Memorial Eye Centre (10673752803).jpg
As part of Australia's $10.5 million package of assistance to the Bali health system, $3 million is being provided for the construction of a stand-alone eye hospital to be called the Australia-Bali Memorial Eye Centre. The new eye centre will expand sight restoration and blindness prevention programs to combat preventable blindness which affects more that 50,000 people in Bali. This assistance has also provided for the purchase of two mobile outreach eye clinics that have enabled Dr Dharyata and his team to treat patients in remote areas of Bali.
