Original description:

Design for a cushion - syringa - to be worked on cloth or velvet in silk or crewels. The border, which is shown at the top of the plate, is intended to be repeated at each of the four sides ; and the small square, shown at the foot of the plate, to be repeated at each of the four corners. The design may be enlarged to any extent not exceeding four times its present size.
