Notes Portrait of Hipólito da Costa, holding the Correio Brasiliense. In 1957, it belonged to his great-granddaughter, Mary da Costa Bates. It belonged to the Duke of Sussex, passing, at the time of his death, to the journalist's widow, Mary Ann da Costa.
