Description
English: Ammon Wrigley statue This statue commemorates Ammon Wrigley (1861-1946)who was a famous Saddleworth dialect poet. He lived and died "on the cold grey hills of Saddleworth". The statue was unveiiled in 1991 at the time of the Saddleworth Festival of Arts.The sculpture was cast at Benin Bronze fine art foundry, Wigan.
