  • Offered for sale from the collection of A. Alfred Taubman at Sotheby's, New York, 4 November 2015 (lot 12, realized 42,810,000 USD Hammer Price with Buyer's Premium)
  • Paulette Jordain (1904-1997) was first the the housemaid, then assistant and eventually lover, of Modigliani's Polish dealer Léopold Zborowski. She posed for other artists as well, including Chaim Soutine and Moise Kisling. She had a child by Zborowski and took over his gallery after his premature death from a heart attack in 1932, continuing as gallerist until WWII.
