English: An Althorpe (north Lincolnshire), postman with a parcel delivery handbarrow outside the village post office. Money orders (see sign), ended in 1881 (becoming postal orders), and parcel post began in 1883. In the early part of the 20th century it was typical for postmen to use bicycles.
