Deutsch: Alfred Welker (* 14. April 1939 in Stiebarlimbach, Gemeinde Hallerndorf in Oberfranken; † 30. Dezember 2015 in Unterhaching), war ein deutscher Priester und Jesuit, der jahrzehntelang in dem Armenviertel Agua Blanca in Cali, Kolumbien gewirkt hat. Das Bild zeigt ihn 1995 bei Dreharbeiten zu dem ZDF/3sat Dokumentarfilm "Warum riskiert Alfred Welker sein Leben in Agua Blanca". Anläßlich der Ermordung eines jungen Mädchens rief er zur Gewaltlosigkeit auf und zum Zusammenschluss der Friedfertigen gegen die Gewalttäter. (Kameramann ist Arno Scheffler). |
