English: A Matadeira (The Killer), a British-manufactured cannon used in the War of Canudos by the Brazilian Army against the rebels. It was pulled by 21 pairs of oxen and broke down after shooting only a few shots. Photograph from a replica, taken from the movie A Matadeira by Jorge Furtado, 1994.
