Summary

Description
English: Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway Fowler Class "7F" 2-8-0 No. 53808 (originally S&DJR No.88, later LMS No.9678, then No.13808, then BR 53808), built by Robert Stephenson (Works No.3894) in 1925 (withdrawn in 1964), in BR unlined black livery and 1956 BR emblem at Ropley, Hampshire during the Mid Hants Railway Spring Steam Gala, 30 April 2021. Although freight engines, these often were used on passenger turns on the S&DJR and were highly thought of. Why Fowler didn't replicate the design for the LMS instead of the out dated and inadequate Class "4F" 0-6-0's is a mystery.
