Description
English: The Caldor Fire burned more than 220,000 acres in El Dorado, Amador, and Alpine counties in California in 2021. It destroyed more than a thousand structures. As of 2023, it was the 15th-largest wildfire in recorded state history and the 16th-most destructive. This map was made in QGIS using data from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire), the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), OpenStreetMap, and others.
