Summary

Description
English: Engraving for a work published by Nicolas Fatio de Duillier in 1699, describing his invention of sloping fruit walls, intended to collect heat from sunlight and thus to promote plant growth. Fatio's proposal was eventually superseded by modern greenhouses.
