Summary

Description
English: Crews from Wild Well Control Inc. work to control a damaged wellhead spewing oil into the waters of Barataria Bay, Aug. 1, 2010. The wellhead was successfully shut-in at approximately 6 p.m., Sunday. Securing the wellhead, which was hit by a barge July 27, was challenging due to the remote location and shallow water at the site.
