Deutsch: 21.05.2005 02953 Kromlau (Gablenz-Kromlau): Das Kavalierhaus (GMP: 51.536997,14.632670) im Rhododendronpark. Wandgemälde an der Westwand im Obergeschoß. Der Herr über Schloß und Park, Friedrich Hermann Rötschke, war Großgrundbesitzer in der Oberlausitz und bürgerlicher Herkunft. 1842 erwarb er Kromlau und begann seine eigene Gartenwelt zu erschaffen. 1850 wurde das Kavalierhaus im Schweizerhausstil erbaut. Die beiden Giebelseiten sind mit kleinen Putten geschmückt, die in Figurennischen stehen, während unter dem Dachüberstand großformatige Wandgemälde zu bewundern sind. Die Fresken zeigen Allegorien auf die schönen Künste der Malerei, der Musik, des Schauspiels und des Tanzes. Vermutlich stammen sie von dem Maler Eduard Bendemann.
