HOUSTON RETURNS TO THE PLAYOFFS

Quarterback Dan Pastorini calls signals in Houston's 17-9 victory over Miami in the 1978 AFC Wild Card Game. It was the Oiler's first appearance in the playoffs since 1967 and first playoff win since 1961. Pastorini, taking the ball from center Carl Mauck, completed 20 for 29 attempts against the Dolphins for 306 yards.
