This photograph was created before 1929, but it has not been determined when it was first published. If it was published before 1929, it is in the public domain in the United States. It may be in the public domain if it was first published after 1929, depending on the circumstances. More research is needed to definitely determine its copyright status. When adequate publication information is provided, please replace this notice with a correct copyright tag. |
This image is a faithful digitisation of a unique historic image, and the copyright for it is most likely held by the person who created the image or the agency employing the person. It is believed that the use of this image may qualify as non-free use under the Copyright law of the United States. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. Please remember that the non-free content criteria require that non-free images on Wikipedia must not "[be] used in a manner that is likely to replace the original market role of the original copyrighted media." Use of historic images from press agencies must only be of a transformative nature, when the image itself is the subject of commentary rather than the event it depicts (which is the original market role, and is not allowed per policy). | |

Portion used |
Entire image |
Low resolution? |
Yes. Anything less becomes grainy and this is already a poor image |
Purpose of use |
1. Official tradition at Texas A&M has been discontinued, there will be no more opportunities to take pictures of this event. 2. This construction method has also been discontinued and cannot be duplicated in the location pictured. This picture is significant because it shows prior methods of construction before the 1999 collapse. It should ONLY be used on the Aggie Bonfire page to illustrate the annual event in question and should NOT be used to adorn user pages or other frivolous uses. |
