This is a volume of the complete Buddhist scriptures, produced at the request of Emperor Toba and donated to Jingoji Temple by Emperor Goshirakawa. The paper is dark blue, the cover features a hoso-kamon arabesque pattern, and the inside back features a picture of Shakyamuni preaching painted in gold and silver paint, and the sutra is written in gold letters. It is an excellent example of a Heian period sutra in gold letters on dark blue paper.
