English: Excerpt of Aubry de La Mottraye's 1723 map of the Black Sea Basin, as published in Serhii Pavlovych Shelukhin's 1921 pamphlet Назва України. З картами (The Name of Ukraine. With Maps), Vienna 1921. Shelukhin misattributed this map to an unknown creator before 1580, and having been used by "French merchant Motiel'" (французький купець Мотіель). This erroneous claim is widespread on 21st-century social media.
Українська: Фрагмент карти Чорноморського басейну Обрі де Ла Мотре (Aubry de La Mottraye) 1723 року, опублікований у брошурі Сергія Павловича Шелухіна "Назва України. З картами ", Відень 1921. Шелухін помилково приписує цю карту невідомому автору, який створив її до 1580 року, а користувався нею "французький купець Мотіель".
