Emanuela Galliani (astronomer)

Emanuela Galliani is an Italian amateur astronomer credited by the Minor Planet Center with the discovery of asteroid (23571) Zuaboni on 1 January 1995 in collaboration with her husband Marco Cavagna (1958–2005) working at the Sormano Astronomical Observatory located north of Milan, Italy.[1] According to the Small-Body Database, the asteroid was named for a mutual friend. "Patrizia Zuaboni (b. 1958), an affectionate friend of both discoverers, contributed to the idea that they should get married."[1]
