Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional because the references are just meant to prove that this is an expert in the field who has contributed to it, as per Wikipedia guidelines for writing about academics. Nowhere in the text does it praise the person or suggest for anyone reading it to engage with her material. It’s simply three paragraphs explaining who the person is and what she is known for, which is what Wikipedia fundamentally does. This same person is mentioned and quoted in three other Wikipedia articles in an arguably more promotional way than how she is described here. Virtually anyone can be promoted simply by having a Wikipedia page, and, even then, this person is an academic who gains no profit from any of this. To delete a neutral description of an entity on account of it being promotional is flawed and speculative.
