Rahgir (born 18 May 1993 as Sunil Kumar Gurjar[2]) is an Indian singer, composer and song-writer from Sikar, Rajasthan.[3][4]

Early Life and Education

[edit]

Rahgir was born in Sikar, Rajasthan, India.[5][6] He completed his early education at Indira Senior Secondary School in Khandela, Sikar. He later pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications from Lovely Professional University, Punjab.[7]

Career

[edit]

Rahgir initially worked as a software engineer at Accenture for 1.5 years from 2014 to 2016.[8] He then began performing at local cafes and clubs in Pune. He is known for his original compositions on YouTube.[9]

His stage name "Rahgir" means traveller.[10] He has travelled 16 states in India with the aim to share his poetic compositions and melodies.[11][12][13]

With the world so set on tearing itself apart, it doesn’t seem like such a bad thing to me to want to put a little bit of it back together. I believe in this philosophy of Desmond Doss. I am going on a mission to enroute humanity across India and share the love and make people laugh through my music. - Rahgir [14]
